“Everything on My Head” is a series of staged self-portraits in which the head and body become a space for thoughts, fears, ambitions, desires and the absurdities of everyday life. Each photograph presents a different situation, role or internal conflict, but they are all connected by the question of what truly drives us.

The ideas often begin with a simple object, phrase, association or situation. They are then transformed into theatrical scenes constructed through costume, makeup, gesture and handmade props. A realistic figure is placed in an unreal situation, allowing ordinary experiences to be seen from a different perspective.

The series explores themes such as time, freedom, fear, success, responsibility, self-acceptance and our relationship with the world around us. Humor and absurdity often open the image, but they are not the final purpose. They serve as an entry point into subjects that may prove more serious than the first impression suggests.

In every photograph, I use myself as the central figure, but I do not treat these works as an autobiographical record. Self-portraiture is a tool that allows me to take on different roles and construct visual metaphors for experiences that may concern any of us.
